Under Pressure!
We are all under pressure—to do our best, to be the best, do, do, do! It is all too much for us much of the time. But what about our kids? If it is too much for us as adults, then our kids are not equipped for high-pressure demands. Kids need time to explore at their own pace.

I believe our kids deserve to be kids for as long as possible. I want their lights to shine as long and as bright as possible. The goal is for that light to never go out. If we are always telling kids what to do and how to do it in every aspect of their life, then we are teaching them not to believe in their abilities or in themselves.

Let us give them space, time, and support to make mistakes, explore, and become who they need to be. Encourage them to be messy, funny, goofy, adventurous—to ask questions and find their own answers.

I love what we have created at Knowledge Seekers. Julia, our wonderful teacher, is a guide for our students. She encourages them to take the time they need to explore, while at the same time gently leading them out of their comfort zones so they can grow.
