I was lucky enough to travel with my family to Mexico recently (thanks Mum!), and I loved the experience. One of my most favorite things is learning about people and places. I don’t need fancy hotels and food—give me rough (but safe) back alleys and authentic connections and I’m all in. It was wonderful seeing my boys learning just by experiencing a new place—the culture, the language (they have been practicing their Spanish every day for over a month), the people, and the joys of no routines.
We not only saw the typical vacation areas but also ventured into the country. Everyone we met was warm and welcoming. I wish our world was more accessible to openly explore. I would, if I could, take my boys all over the world just to experience places unlike their own. I truly feel that by learning about others and their ways of life (with an open heart and curiosity), we can grow as individuals and as a people.
May your life be filled with adventures and wonder!
