Mission

Knowledge Seekers Homeschool Collective, is a student-shaped homeschool program. Teachers and students collaborate to design mindful learning opportunities that cultivate a passion for knowledge, critical thinking, curiosity and joy. This is achieved in a vibrant and inclusive environment.

KSHC values students’ voices in real and tangible ways, with support and encouragement. They are the architects of their education.

We focus on STEM, Social Sciences and The Arts through projects, group work, hands on learning and a multi disciplinary approach.

The collective is two days a week; 9am to 1pm. For grades 3, 4, and 5 (2026/27 will be grades 4,5,6). Grades to be added as needed. Drop your students off knowing they will be seeking the knowledge they desire.

We are renting space from the wonderful Cully Community Arts @ 4524 NE Going St, Portland, OR 97218

Our Story

Founder and homeschool mother of twins Tess Scholl.

I started this collective to meet the educational needs of my children and to create balance on our homeschooling journey. My kids asked for more say in what they learned and a desire for more hands on learning. With Knowledge Seekers I strive to build them and others what they crave. When we do not see in the world or neighborhood what we want we must create it.

If you are interested in hearing more this is a podcast I was on where I talk about my journey and why I started KSHC. https://www.podbean.com/eas/pb-ydtx5-17a14d8
