Feeling Judgement: We all do it.

It is human to judge. Everyone judges. We make inferences based on what we hear, feel, and see. They may not always be correct, but we automatically do it. Many times, these thoughts are based on our own experiences (and baggage), and sometimes we judge out of fear. I know I have—many times in my life.

If we didn’t judge people and situations, we could get ourselves into trouble. You might want to judge the height of a tree before leaping off and flying like Superman—unless, of course, you’re three years old.

When making judgments, always listen to your intuition. It’s that little voice struggling to be heard, giving you that feeling you can’t quite pinpoint—that tug deep in your gut.
Listen: It’s important. Teach your kids to listen, too.

Is your intuition telling you that something needs to change in your child’s education? Are they needing something different for the 2025–2026 school year?

Knowledge Seekers listens to students’ voices when it comes to education. Two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 AM–1 PM), you can rest assured your student is in a fun, supportive, and creative environment exploring science, art, and social studies.

Back when my boys were five years old and my big mama village was buzzing about sending their kids to school (99% to traditional public school), I felt like the crazy mama for doing something different. To them, homeschooling was an absolutely insane idea.

Now, this group of over 35 mamas was kind and supportive—but still, the judgment (or maybe it was their fear) was palpable. I could feel it in the air.

What it all comes down to is this: We are all making the best decisions we can in the moment for our families and our kids.

How about we all be enthusiastically supportive of the choices our friends make (barring anything unsafe)?

Knowledge is power. If we don’t assess our surroundings and make decisions based on what we see, we’re not truly being present in our lives. But let us not put our fears on to others.

If you’re rethinking school for your kids, check out this event in August—just in time for the 2025–2026 school year. Make a judgment call that works for your kids and your family.
