A love letter to your kid(s).

I just sat down and wrote a little letter to my kids. One each—I have twins. I mean to do this way more often than I actually do, and today I did it.

I remember reading that it’s so, so important not only to tell our kids we love them (and show them), but even more important to tell them we like them. That we truly enjoy being with them. With any meaningful letter, it must be genuine and specific. Make sure you say why you like them and what you enjoy doing with them. It sounds simple—and in many ways it is.

So take a moment and write a love letter to your kid(s).

When I was little, I would get mad at my mum (Aussie spelling!) and not really know how to say sorry, or I’d feel too embarrassed to apologize. So I would write her little notes. I’ve always been better at articulating myself in writing than in speaking.

I also invited my boys to write me back—or not. We will see what they choose.

Have a wonderful summer and check out the happenings below.
