River Days:

My favorite activity during the summer is playing in the rivers and lakes. I grew up with a creek just below my house and I spent countless hours in the water. My kids love the water and become stronger swimmers and more confident each time we go. They name cliffs they jump off and challenge them selves and friends to be safely brave.

Here are some of our most enjoyed locations. * Check required passes, don’t leave kids untended, wear safety gear, take your trash home and be responsible. Go at your own risk. Nature is powerful, DO NOT test her.

Educational Advocate: Theresa Jahangir is an educational advocate, educator, and school counselor who supports families navigating complex education and support systems. As the parent of a child with complex medical and developmental disabilities, she understands firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to advocate for a child in systems that were not designed with every family in mind.

Theresa works with families to identify meaningful accommodations and goals for their child’s IEP, 504 Plan, and other systems of support. She provides guidance at every step so families do not have to navigate these processes alone.

She specializes in helping families work through complex systems—including school districts, county services, and state programs—so children can attend school safely, thrive in their learning environments, and participate fully in their communities.

As a thank-you to newsletter readers, Theresa is offering a 1-hour consultation for $125 (regularly $175). info@theresajahangirparentadvocate.com
